Ponteland High’s Charlie Parker shines in Belsay Horse Trials

Charlie was entered into Belsay international horse trials at the weekend in the under 18 British eventing 90cm class, only her 3rd try at this height. She finished 11th out of a field of 30.

On Sunday we took her good pony and a new event to try the 70cm show cross class – this is when they do show jumps and cross country jumps in the same round.

Charlie went on to win the class on ‘Secret’ and 6th place on her new pony, ‘Maisie’. It was a long weekend and we all arrived back home tired but true to form Charlie went upstairs to revise for her upcoming exams; that’s dedication for you!
