European Youth Parliament – North East Regional Forum 2025
We are extremely proud of our students for representing Ponteland High School at the North East Regional Forum this year. The event took part at NUCASTLE – Newcastle United Foundation along with eight other Secondary Schools.
Prior to the competition, our students researched a wide range of topics including; artificial intelligence, the legacy of colonialism, and sustainable tourism. Students also prepared and delivered a series of proposal, opposition
and summation speeches throughout the day. George Whitney and Isabella Samples (Y11) took to the stage to deliver impassioned speeches which engaged the audience. We are delighted to announce that we alongside RGS have been selected for the Nationals later this year, bringing together winning schools from all around the UK. The jury commented on our strong team work and active listening skills, as well as their clear desire to improve throughout the day.
Bravo!
